Over 3 million foreign tourists visited Romania in the first months of 2024.

In the first quarter of this year, there were over 3 million arrivals of foreign visitors, 6.5% more than last year, according to INS data.

Compared to March of last year, this year tourist accommodation facilities recorded a 4.9% increase.

At border points, arrivals of foreign visitors increased by 10.5%.

Of the total number of arrivals, in March 2024, Romanian tourist arrivals in tourist accommodation facilities with accommodation functions represented 81.0%, and foreign tourist arrivals 19.0%.

Arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania, recorded at border points, in March 2024 totaled 1,114.1 thousand people,an increase of 10.5% compared to March 2023", announces INS, according to Daily Business.
