Gândul exclusively presents video of a brawl that erupted in the Romanian Parliament on Tuesday morning, involving PNL deputies Florin Roman and Dan Vîlceanu.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, PNL deputy Florin Roman alleged that he was "assaulted" by deputy Dan Vîlceanu as he exited the plenary hall, in a "thuggish" manner, with a knee strike to the nose.
Roman recounted that Vîlceanu attempted to bite him and grabbed him by the throat.
Florin Roman announced that he would file a request for sanctions against the deputy for assault and would file a criminal complaint against him.
PNL President Nicolae Ciucă reacted, stating that "physical violence is unacceptable," especially in Parliament, and expressed his view that the attack on Florin Roman "demonstrates a lack of character and moral conduct on the part of deputy Dan Vîlceanu."
